Dubai: Parkin introduces paid parking in Damac Hills with new smart scan system
New tariff structure applies from 8am to 10pm
DUBAI – Dubai-based Parkin has introduced paid public parking in Damac Hills under the code 676H, as the company continues expanding its operations and smart enforcement technology across the emirate.
The newly implemented parking zone will operate from 8am to 10pm, Monday to Saturday. Motorists will be charged Dh2 for half an hour, Dh4 for one hour, Dh8 for two hours, Dh12 for three hours and Dh16 for four hours.
Parkin has also rolled out subscription packages for frequent users in the community. The monthly permit costs Dh300, while a three-month subscription is priced at Dh800. Residents and visitors can also opt for a six-month package at Dh1,600 or an annual subscription costing Dh2,800.
The move comes as the company reported a sharp rise in parking fines during the first quarter of 2026. Earlier figures showed that fines issued by Parkin climbed 32 percent year-on-year to 754,300, compared with 569,300 during the same period in 2025.
In February 2026, the company began trialling an alternative smart scan car camera system by equipping one inspection vehicle with roof-mounted scanning technology. The system is designed to improve enforcement efficiency in some of Dubai’s busiest and most congested locations while reducing the need for inspectors to conduct on-foot checks.
Parkin said the approach could prove particularly useful during Dubai’s summer months, when daytime temperatures can exceed 45°C. The company’s smart scan inspection fleet increased from 27 to 28 vehicles during the quarter as the trial progressed.
